The MA-head PT100 resistance thermometer is particularly suitable for those applications in which the metal PT100 sensor tip is mounted directly into bored holes (e.g. in air ducts) or directly into the process for any application with no chemically aggressive media or abrasion. Insertion of a PT100 resistance thermometer without thermowell is only recommended in specific applications. When installed in aggressive or corrosive processes, you should make use of a thermowell.
